It would be superb if they used the iPhone OS3's ability to plug in directly from the iPhone dock to the camera via a USB cable. However as it is, you already have the camera plugged into the laptop... Canon makes a very good tethered shooting app.... so I just use that as before. Adding the iPhone app to the chain just adds time and shutter lag. I'm hoping the app gets better in future versions. After buying the app I actually agree with you Glenn.
